Oasis Landscapes was founded in 2020 by a team of landscape architects, agronomists, and environmental engineers driven to redefine outdoor spaces across Egypt’s diverse climates. Recognising the challenge of creating green, liveable environments under hot, dry conditions, we pioneered techniques combining ancient oasis-principles with cutting-edge sustainable technologies. Our mission: transform homes, resorts, and public spaces into thriving eco-sanctuaries that conserve water, support local biodiversity, and enhance quality of life.
Based in Cairo with regional offices in Alexandria and Aswan, our multidisciplinary team includes Egyptian Landscape Society–certified designers, drip-irrigation specialists, and native-plant horticulturists. We collaborate with water-management authorities, botanical gardens, and green-building consultancies (LEED, Estidama) to ensure each project aligns with best practices in environmental stewardship.
Oasis Landscapes operates on three pillars:
Contextual Design,
Resource Efficiency, and
Ecological Integration. Under Contextual Design, we study each site’s microclimate—sun paths, wind patterns, soil profiles—and incorporate vernacular architectural motifs, from mashrabiya-style pergolas to Nubian vaulted seating niches. Resource Efficiency focuses on low-flow drip and subsurface irrigation, greywater reuse, and solar-powered pumps that slash operating costs and water footprints. Ecological Integration emphasises native flora—Acacia, Moringa, Lavandula—and habitat features like pollinator gardens, bird-bath installations, and insect-hotel structures that nurture urban wildlife.
Since inception, we have completed over 200 projects: private estates along the Nile, eco-lodges in the Western Desert, courtyards for historic riad-style hotels, and green corridors in new-town developments. Our work has been recognised by the Egyptian Green Building Council for innovation in sustainable site design. At Oasis Landscapes, we believe every yard can become an oasis—uniting beauty, utility, and ecology in harmony with Egypt’s heritage and future.
